Clerbrook RV Resort residents presented Cornerstone Hospice Foundation with a check for $51,000, from funds raised at the community’s annual Cornerstone Hospice Week in January.

The check was presented at the Mike Conley Hospice House in Clermont and all proceeds will go toward patient care and upkeep of the house. With this year’s outstanding total, $785,000 has been raised during the last 25 years by the Clerbrook RV Resort community.

A golf car rodeo, ice cream social, live performances, and golf tournament were among the activities held during the week of “fun-raising.”

“This generosity that you all continue to provide allows us to provide the extra nice touches like Cornerstone SALUTES! program for veterans; Pet Peace of Mind, which keeps patients and their pets together for as long as possible; and the Gold Standard award, which allows staff to spend up to $150 on a patient to take care of anything that would be of help to them or the family,” said Nick Buchholz, executive director of the Cornerstone Hospice Foundation.  “We feel immense gratitude for their loyalty.”
